Sh23m UPE funds diverted, says IGG
OVER sh23.7m meant for UPE was diverted by various headteachers in Iganga
district and banked on their association account from where it was misused,
the Inspector General of government (IGG) has said.

Swiss govt to give Rakai HIV/Aids orphans Sh500m
The government of Switzerland has said it will this year commit an
additional Shs500 million to bolster its ongoing education al and
humanitarian projects for over 5000 HIV/Aids orphans and widows in Rakai
district.

NGO gives US$40m for AIDS
CHF International that has of recent started its operations in Rwanda has

Insurance firm to launch HIV/Aids treatment policy
An insurance firm, African Life-Tanzania Insurance Company says it will
launch an Aids treatment insurance product on April 16, this year in a bid
to motivate workers to voluntarily undertake sero tests.
