Rwanda to acquire teachers from Kenya
The Kenyan and Rwanda Governments on Tuesday, 18th -04-2006 signed a
Memorandum of Understanding that will streamline professional education in
Rwanda , facilitated by Kenyan teachers. The Memorandum was signed by the
Kenyan Minister of Education, Science and Technology Dr. Noah M. Wekesa, MP,
on behalf of the Kenyan government..

Ethiopia : College Working to Upgrade Distance Education to Degree,
Postgraduate Levels
The Ethiopian Civil Service College is reportedly working with the World
Bank and other relevant international institutions to upgrade the distance
education it provides to degree and postgraduate levels.

New method to manage HIV treatment
A NEW Uganda study has confirmed that a combination of co-trimoxazole
(Septrin), antiretroviral therapy, and insecticide-treated bed nets reduces
the frequency of malaria in adults with HIV.
