Church repairs Duhaga Boys
The emblem with the inscriptions 1910-2006 stands out just above the main
entrance at Duhaga Boys' School main hall. The words, 'For God and My

The child sponsoring scheme started four years ago by Meera Investments, has

Ministry to visit northern Uganda
EDUCATION minister Namirembe Bitamazire has said ministry officials are to
visit the north to take stock of educational facilities in the region

Jiabao visits AIDS institute

CHINESE Prime Minister Wen Jiabao on Saturday made an emotional visit to
Mulago Hospital's Infectious Disease Institute (IDI) that cares for
HIV-positive persons and donated US$100,000 (about sh180m) to it.

Govt advised to establish mobile clinics for HIV testing

The government has been advised to consider establishment of mobile clinics
to serve in the testing of HIV infection to pregnant mothers in rural areas,
and save lives of infants, reports Nsuduki Limbe of PST Singida.

Aids body gets database

The National Aids Control Commission (CNLS) on Friday presented to its
partners a newly developed computerized database, which will ease its
monitoring and evaluation process.

WFP to boost anti-Aids war

As part of its global effort to combat HIV/Aids, the World Food Programme
(WFP) intends to increase its support to people living with the deadly
