Displaced school gets classrooms
LELA-OBARO Primary School is one of the schools displaced by the LRA
insurgency in the north. It moved from its original site to Palenga Primary
School in Bobi sub-county, Omoro county in Gulu district.

ADB funds Kaliro school
KALIRO-The African Development Bank has donated sh400m for building four
classroom blocks at Namugongo Seed Secondary School . The headmaster,
William Wabusela, said construction would begin in September.

Uganda : Japan Offers Shs3.5b for Health, Education

Uganda : 31 Scoop British Council Scholarships
The British Council has granted scholarships to 31 Ugandans to study in
different universities in the UK . Some of the beneficiaries are enlisted
under the Commonwealth Fellows while others will be on work attachment in
Britain .

Kenya , Tanzania line up for Abbott's $12m Aids fund
Kenya and Tanzania will be the main beneficiaries of a $12 million donation
by pharmaceutical multinational Abbott to improve the treatment of Aids in
