Uganda

Government to start ICT degree course
THE Government is to start an Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
course at Busitema University , this year.
Francis Lubanga, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education and
Sports, said that the move was aimed at improving the ICT sector in the
country.

Pupils clean up Namuwongo slum
OVER 300 pupils of St. Banarbas Primary and Muyenga High schools last week
celebrated Heroes' Day by cleaning the entire Namuwongo area. National
Heroes' Day fell on June 9.

Gulu University branch in Lira
LIRA - The Government is to open a branch of Gulu University at Uganda
technical College, Lira the northern youth Member of Parliament, Denis Obua,
has said.

School gets sh129m block
THE out-going Archbishop of Tororo Diocese, James Odongo, has commissioned a
classroom block and laboratory at St. Paul 's College in Mbale town. The
facilities, funded by parents, is worth sh129m.
