KIST awards Masters Degrees
Kigali Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) last Friday awarded
Masters Degrees in Communications Management to 19 students of the pioneer
class. During the ceremony held at Remera National Stadium on Friday, 270
graduands from the Faculty of Technology were also awarded with Bachelor of
Science Degrees in different engineering disciplines.

FARG spends Frw1b on survivors' school dues
The Genocide Survivors Assistance Fund (FARG) has so far spent Frw1.19

Rwanda

Prisoners to access ARVs
All prisoners in Rwanda will very soon access free anti-retroviral drugs,
testing and counselling; the executive secretary of the National HIV/Aids
Control Commission (CNLS), Dr Agnes Binagwaho has said. At a ceremony to
hand over the drugs, four HIV positive prisoners at the Central Prison of
Kigali, commonly known as 1930, were openly given the drugs to encourage
others to take them.

First Lady launches Frw600m tech school
The First Lady, Mrs Jeannette Kagame (pictured), on April 20 launched a
Frw600 (1 million-euro) SOS Hermann Gmeiner Technical School for vulnerable
children at Kagugu in Kigali City . The school accommodates at least 110
students undertaking studies in computer science, electric wiring, woodwork
and accountancy.
