Rwanda

Rwanda goes a mile-stone in improving education after the genocide
Rwanda's education system, which comprises four various levels of education;
nursery (kindergarten), primary, secondary, and higher institution of
learning, has improved remarkably in recent years after a steep decline due
to the 1994 genocide. Today the gross primary school enrollment ratio
exceeds 100 percent.

Global Schools Partnerships are the way to go
At the beginning of Last week I attended a two day seminar on DFID Global
schools (DGSP) at the AEE guest house in Kabeza. The seminar was organised
by VSO Rwanda representing the British Council for DFID Global School

SCHOLARSHIPS
The University of Manchester in the UK is offering eight scholarships to
capable Ugandans wishing to pursue studies at Post-graduate level but may
not have the means to realise their dreams. The scholarships, managed on
behalf of the University by KULIKA Uganda, a registered not-for-profit
organisation with over 25 years experience in managing scholarships, cover
full tuition fees, return international airfares and living expenses.
